Shannon with Frankie and Max

By specializing in areas of pet sitting that include pets with behavioral problems, medical needs, and senior pets Shannon's Pet-Sitting is able to provide exceptionary pet care.

I provide care in the pet owner's home, which allows for pets to remain in their own environment and maintain their daily routine. This allows for a stress free environment and experience for pets.

As a courtesy I will also water plants, bring in mail and newspapers, alternate lights, open and close draperies, and set alarm systems so that the home appears occupied - an important consideration when you are away for an extended period of time.

I worked at the North Shore Veterinary Clinic in Skokie, IL. In addition to my hands on experience at the clinic, I also completed Veterinary Assistant classes through the American Animal Hospital Association, and Cedar Valley College. Along with my studies I worked part time at the Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center in Northbrook, IL.  I am certified in Pet CPR & First Aid.

Over the years I have built a strong reputation and rapport with the local veterinary clinics. To further my education in the world of exotics I worked in the specialty department at Petsmart for two years.

To ensure your pets gets the quality time & personal care they deserves I don't overbook. I find that limiting my client intake allows for emergencies, special attention, and last-minute needs.

My insurance through Pet Sitters Associates, L.L.C. protects me during medical emergencies, in case of key loss, and most importantly, covers YOUR property.

In July 2010 I co-founded a local Pet Small Business Networking group called "PetNet". The objective of the group is to help each other provide better products & services to pets and their owners.

With my niece Dani

I became an Aunt in August 2010 to my beautiful niece Danielle (Dani).  She is constantly surrounded by & loves dogs and cats. It is my hope to have her work as my assistant when she is older and eventually take over the business when the time comes. For now, her parents bring her out to support me at events & shows I am at.

I enjoy working with multiple animal rescues and non-profit charitable organizations by participating in fundraisers and donation programs. The Better Business Bureau and the American Pet Association also accredit me.

When you choose Shannon's Pet-Sitting you are getting the ultimate in Compassionate & Professional Pet Care!
